The 7th Annual Gulf Coast Hot Air Balloon Festival is Fathers Day Weekend June 17-19, 2011. The event is “packed” with, entertainment, fellowship, food and fun.

Festival Hours:

Fri: 8:00 am - 10:00 pm
Sat: 6:00 am - 10:00 pm
Sun: 6:00 am - 10:30 am

 

The early morning flights (approx. 6 AM) is the best time to see the balloons. It is definitely worth getting up to see them arrive.  The pilot who gets closest to the target wins 2 free nights stay at Alabama’s Magnolia Springs Bed and Breakfast. Then stick around for the Frisbee Disc-Connected K9′s – World Famous Frisbee Dogs. On Friday there will be shows at 10 a.m., 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. On Saturday they will perform at 7:30 a.m., 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. On Sunday, they can be seen at 7:30 a.m.

Private flights are not scheduled during the festival. All balloon flights are weather dependent. Listen to WHEP 1310 AM or 92.5 FM for the latest on flight information.  Weather and wind for Foley. See the NOAA weather site

Gulf Coast Hot Air Balloon Festival’s Saturday Night Headliner is Almost McGraw – Todd Sullivan on June 18 from 8:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. So bring Dad out for Fathers Day and create memories forever.

Tanger Outlets will be hosting Gulf Coast Rising Stars Talent Competition to encourage area amateur entertainers. Rising Stars will provide entertainers the opportunity to perform at Tanger Outlets at Foley, Alabama and compete for cash prizes. Top 3 winners in each age division will be invited to perform on stage at the Gulf Coast Hot Air Balloon Festival the evening of June 18, 2011.
