No. Early check-in and late check-out are not available as standard options. Please plan around our published check-in and check-out times so we have the time needed to prepare each room properly.

We welcome children 12 years and older. For the comfort of all guests, this also applies to self-check-ins.

We are not able to accommodate pets on the property. There is an on-premises cat who is allowed in common areas but never in guest rooms.

Yes. Our Frequent Flyer Program rewards returning guests with a gift certificate after 10 paid nights, based on the average daily rate of those stays. There’s no time limit and no minimum trip length, so your nights add up however you visit.

Yes, all rooms feature central heat and air conditioning.

All our rooms are priced for two guests. The Harding Suite can accommodate up to two additional guests, and the Cowen Room can accommodate one additional guest. Extra guests must be arranged in advance and are subject to a $40 per person, per night fee. We’re unable to accommodate extra guests without prior approval.

Yes, we empty the garbage, wipe down showers, and replace towels as needed.

Yes! A full breakfast is included in your stay and is served daily from 8:00 am to 9:30 am in the dining room or at private tables outside.

Yes, free WiFi is available throughout the interior.

Guests have access to complimentary refreshments 24/7, including bottled water, juices, sodas, coffee, hot tea, and a variety of snacks. Every evening, fresh-baked cookies are available to enjoy. We also provide complimentary use of beach chairs, umbrellas, coolers, and towels. Due to the historic significance of our property, the removal of certain physical barriers to achieve full accessibility is not readily achievable. As a result, we are unable to accommodate wheelchairs or scooters. Additionally, because of the size of our property, we are exempt from Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

The physical barriers include:

• There is no elevator for access to the upstairs rooms.
• Guests must use a stairwell with 21 steps, including 90-degree turns at both the top and bottom.
• There is no continuous stairwell railing for support.
• The McLennan Room (ground floor) features an elevated clawfoot tub that requires stepping in and out.
• The main floor sits 4.5 feet above ground level, with six exterior steps required to access the building.
• Interior additions over time have created thresholds and raised transitions between rooms.

Yes, free guest parking is available on-site at the back of the property.

All reservations must be guaranteed by a valid credit card. A prepayment equal to the first night’s stay plus 12% tax is charged at the time of booking. The remaining balance is charged on your check-in day.

Changes to your reservation are not permitted. Reservations may not be assigned or transferred in any manner to any third party.

No, we’re proud to include all our services and amenities in our standard rates, and do not charge a resort fee.

• Mobile Regional Airport (MOB): Offers service from American, Delta, and United. Approximately 52 miles, 75 minutes.
• Mobile International Airport (BFM): A newer option closer to the coast than MOB. Approximately 40 miles, 50 minutes.
• Gulf Shores International Airport (GUF): Located in Gulf Shores and offers nonstop Allegiant service to a growing list of cities and is the closest option. Approximately 14 miles, 25 minutes.
