For the Professional Vacationers

Far be it from needing an itinerary, the plans you make work the best with a small outline. You prefer to venture out, try new things, and see where the day takes you, and that’s awesome! Therefore, we’ve put together a shorter and far less detailed itinerary just for you with a quick weekend trip that’s two days instead of three. Feel free to fill in the blanks and make your own special days. We’ll provide everything you need to make your dream a reality. You can also stop by the front desk for more ideas.

Day of Arrival:

  • Take the chairs, towels, umbrella, and cooler, available at the front desk for guests, and head to the Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge. Now all you have to do is sit back, relax on the beach, and do absolutely nothing else except listen to the waves, read a book, and have yourself a nice drink, maybe even catch a few Zs.

Innkeeper Tip: Out there it’s just you, nature, and a beautiful restorative environment. No “Chatty Cathys”, no screaming kids, and no boom boxes, it’s just you and nature! Sounds great huh? If it does then we have the perfect spot. It’s a hidden gem and incomparable to any other place. If you are willing to walk a little bit, then you won’t have anyone near you for yards and yards! You can take all those pictures you only see in magazines and have the entire beach to yourself. Talk to our staff to get the details!

Day 2:

  • Wake up to a delicious made from scratch breakfast.
  • Spend a relaxing afternoon at the Coastal Alabama Farmers and Fishermen’s Market. Check out unique vendors and sample local flavor from all over the local area.
  • Fill in the blank: Other options for getaways and things to do in Alabama can be found on our website.
  • Dinner at nearby Wolf Bay Lodge is guaranteed to please, with some of the best seafood around.

Day 3:

  • Eat a final breakfast at your private table either inside or outside and reminisce on the highlights of your stay.
  • On your way out of town, stop by The Gulf Restaurant. With amazing views and a premium location, it’s a great way to say goodbye to the Gulf Shores while also appreciating everything it has to offer.
